Air Force marked the 70th Anniversary of No. 37 Squadron on the 15th July 2013. Formed at RAAF Base Laverton as a transport unit in 1943, it provided transport throughout the South West Pacific Theatre until its disbandment in 1948. In 1966, it was re-established as a C-130 Hercules transport unit at RAAF Base Richmond, and continues to serve in this role today. [tr][td][/td][/tr]
